When I joined SpendMend as a Pharmacy Client Manager in April 2024, I knew I was stepping into a company with a strong reputation for client success and a commitment to excellence. After more than 90 days on the job, I’m excited to reflect on my journey so far. With my background as Chief Customer Officer at Secure340B and Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts at Macro Helix, I felt prepared for the challenges ahead, but I quickly realized that SpendMend operates on an entirely different level. The past few months have been an incredible learning experience, immersing myself in a client-centric culture and navigating an extensive suite of solutions that tackle the complex challenges of 340B program management.

Throughout this short period, I’ve been struck by the dedication and expertise of the SpendMend team. They’ve made my transition seamless, allowing me to ramp up quickly and hit the ground running. As I continue to get my bearings, several key themes have stood out to me, reaffirming why joining SpendMend has been one of the most rewarding steps in my career.

1. Customers love us

Can you believe that we have over 650 CEs that trust our expertise?  Our clients not only use us once and find value, but they appreciate our expertise year after year. We grow about 15% each year and lose less than a dozen clients each year.

2. Customers continue to struggle with what the world keeps throwing at them

Our clients continue to come to us because we have a pulse of everything happening in the 340B world.  They know we are the largest 340B team in the country and that there is very little happening that catches us by surprise.  Many rely on our biweekly podcast, 340B Unscripted, for the most up to date program insights.

3. SpendMend solves a lot of problems and saves customers a lot of money and resources

SpendMend has so many solutions to our customers problems.  In fact, I had to make a chart to keep it clear in my mind. I thought I would share it:

4. SpendMend hires good, knowledgeable people and customers enjoy working with them  

I’ve been very fortunate to work with some great companies throughout my career, but the customer conversations and engagement with SpendMend is next level.  Every customer has built a deep relationship with a different SpendMend team member.  At the recent 340B Coalition, it was incredible to witness clients approaching our booth, eagerly asking to see specific SpendMend auditors and praising them as “the absolute best.” And each time someone came up to the booth, it was a different auditor they were inquiring about.  Our team is an All-Star group.  It really stands out when you look at it from this perspective:

As a Pharmacy Client Manager, my role is all about aligning customer needs with the right SpendMend resources—those who are ready, able, and proven successful in solving complex problems while improving care and well-being. Guided by my personal philosophy of always leaving things better than I found them, I’m committed to making a positive impact every day.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that is truly making healthcare a little better, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.
