Hello and happy Friday! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we would like to show our appreciation for our staff with another edition of the Employee Spotlight Series! This week, we are featuring Elisa Tucker. Elisa is an Auditor and joined the team about three years ago! When asked what she is looking forward to in the future with SpendMend, she said, “Expanding my skills and continuing to grow more confident in my abilities.” Elisa is from Flint, MI, and went to Grand Valley State University to study accounting! She chose to study accounting because she has always been good with numbers and money. She also believes that accounting is a good fit because she is very organized! During the workday, Elisa enjoys listening to pop-punk music! Her all-time favorite bands are All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, Set it Off, and A Day to Remember. Some of her go-to songs to listen to currently are Rerun- Honey Revenge, Just Pretend- Bad Omens, Villain- Bella Poarch, and Jealousy- Pale Waves. Be sure to check out the full interview below to learn about Elisa’s concert experiences! A fun fact about Elisa is that she enjoys listening to mythology podcasts. Elisa has always been interested in mythology, and she even took a class on Greek mythology in college to learn more! She mostly listens to historical and paranormal stories! Elisa’s favorite to listen to is Lora by Aaron Mahnke because it captures the dark history behind fairy tales, mysterious creatures, and places that have weird things happen repetitively. This is her favorite podcast because they are interesting and she enjoys his storytelling! Elisa’s other favorite topics to listen to are the ones about the different cryptids or hauntings. If you are interested in learning more about mythology, Elisa can point you in the right direction! One of Elisa’s hobbies she loves is reading and watching anime! Her favorites are Black Clover, One Piece, and Demon Slayer. When asked why she enjoys anime, she states, “The storylines and animation are amazing, and they make it really easy to connect with the characters so it’s like you’re with them throughout their journey. In general, I like anime because it’s easy and fun to watch.” Thanks for the recommendations, Elisa!
Elisa does a great job as an auditor and we are grateful to have her on the SpendMend team! Kevin Gorine, Audit Supervisor, said “Elisa is a valuable part of the purple pod. She is always seeming to be in a good mood during our daily calls and is willing to help on any special projects we may have or need assistance with. She does an excellent job when researching working potential, and since I’ve moved to the Purple Pod Elisa has made it a comfortable transition when learning new clients’ ERPs.” Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Elisa!
