Hello and Happy Friday! For this week’s Employee Spotlight, we would like to feature Brandon Lothschutz. Brandon is an Auditor and joined the SpendMend team about 18 months ago. When asked what he looks forward to in his future with SpendMend, Brandon stated, “All the possibilities of moving up in the company and helping it grow even more.” A fun fact about Brandon is that he graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a minor in General Business and Economics! He decided to pursue a study in accounting because of his knack for numbers and the variety of future career options. Before SpendMend, Brandon worked in forensic accounting. Brandon’s favorite part of forensic accounting was investigating information to present to the CPAs for their files. Another fun fact about Brandon is that he grew up on roughly a 100-acre farm! He started working on the farm at a young age and still helps out the family farm when he can. At the farm, he and his family raise beef and cows. They also grow corn, wheat, hay, and soybeans! Outside of work, one of Brandon’s hobbies is playing golf. He started playing in junior high but didn’t stick with it long. However, a couple of years ago he picked it back up and has become a more frequent golfer! He enjoys playing golf with the friends he met at school. The SpendMend team has a few avid golfers, we might have to start a league! Who’s in?

Brandon does a great job on the SpendMend team. Eric Florance, Audit Manager, said “Brandon is a great example of what we are looking for in our auditors. He has the three traits that we seek out in all of our associates: integrity, persevering, and detail-oriented. He is always bringing additional value to our clients by sharing some of his unique findings to management.” Thank you, Brandon, for being fantastic at your job! SpendMend is grateful!
